More and more i appreciate the city and what it gives. It takes a lot from you; but for those who give in to it and stop fighting their calling for home - the city offers glamour, memories, and many places to get lost. If you ever want to be in the spotlight - you come to NY; if you ever want to hide from the rest of the world - you come to NY.

Most exciting event of last week: We finally bought a juicer!!!! It is the best thing in the world as it can extract juices from any fruit or vegetable. Used three times last week and Joel has been complaining that it's been lonely since we haven't used it for the last 4 days.

Sad event of the week: to realize that you can't get a driver's license as you don't have a ss card and you can't get a new ss card as you do not have an alien registration number. American Bureaucracy at its finest.

When you arrive at your home airport and rush the cab to an Indian Art Exhibit, where the first person to greet you is your favorite person of all

when a few discussions over unexplainable art are followed by crisp white wine and soft cheeses,

When you wake up in the morning and your husband tells you that he has prepared a surprise get-away for you and keep thinking that would be a tent in a deep forest and ends up being glamorous casinos of Atlantic City ...

When you spin roulette for the first time of your life and win $100 ( i know sounds so small, but a big win for little person like me)...

When you indulge your pallets into 25 different kinds of wines and get a private tour of a winery

When you lay on the sandy beach and see nothing but creative forms of feathery clouds and feel cracking shells under your toes...

And to top it off when your main souvenir from the weekend is a SANTANA t-shirt!!!!

Раз уж Олка похвасталась своими кулинарными успехами, я тоже решила.
Вчера гоношусь на кухне и в это время заходит хасбанд то би и с огромными глазами смотрит на мою высоко-сидящую и везде глядящую курицу. Курица удобно расположилась на бутылке чем произвела огромный эффект на моего любимого Американца, он недоверчего глянул на меня и сделал пару фотографий.
В общем, после такого недоверия я не особо волновалась, но всё же заглядывала в духовку каждые 15 минут.
Ужин получился на славу, после чего, хасбанд то би решил что лучшей курицы он ещё не ел!!!

Всех женщин поздравляю с праздником а всех мужчин с их прекрасными женщинами! Пусть этот день будет для вас солнечным и красивым.

В обще конечно праздник женщин это хорошо, но вот делать его красным днем календаря как это сделали на нашей любимой родине, это абсурд.

Kogda vi priezhaete rabotat' v New York mozhno ozhidat' vse chto ugodno v otnoshenii obstanovki.
Vot k primeru zdanije v kotorom nakhoditsja my present client is an old aprtment building in the center of lively Soho. Okruzhayushaja otmosphere mne ochen' uzh blizko lezhit k dushe: hard-wood floors, brick walls, green painted pillars i mnogo sveta. Prosto prikhodish na rabotu (khorosho vispavshis', tak kak na rabotu narod podtjagivaetsja k 10am) i prijatno nachinat' rabochij den'.

Vot nakones-to pod vlijamiem _milashki ja i sozdala novoje dlja sebja khobbi - live journal.
Srazu proshu izvenenija za moj shrift - russkogo poka net.
I tak dlja nachala, pozdravljayu vsekh s proshedshim dnem vlublennikh. Nadeyus' chto vi ego proveli v krugu blizkikh i dorogikh lyudej. Khotja ja i schitayu chto Valentines Day is overrated - kazhdij iz nas dolzhen imet' odin ili bolshe dnej posveshennij lubimim. Ja zhe pereekhav v New York, na pervij assignment bila zaslana v nashu lyubimuyu Minnesotu, gde i otmetila 14 fevralja v krugu moikh lubimikh devchonok. V restorancheke Enjoy nas zhdala teplaja atmosfera, khoroshoje vino, i obaldennij uzhin. Ocherednoj devishnik bil napolnen smekhom i dushevnimi razgovorami. Pravda posleduyushij rabochij den' vidaetsja ne ochen' productivnim, zato kucha khoroshij vpechatlenij... Dumayu u Irishki uzhe segodnja pojavjatsja fotki, tak chto zakhodite k nam v gosti.
